While I don't claim to know everything about knees, I have seen many people who have knee problems and once they learn how to squat the knees get better. Squating helps you get down on the floor to play with kids or the dog, or just get up off the floor. Our body is designed to squat. Don't put off crossfit because of knee problems, there is a good chance it is the solution.
